I have added an anti – s . p . a . m . plug-in to your blog that purports to prevent spam by doing some behind-the-scenes magic. We’ll see if it helps. it’s called WP Captcha Free. Captcha is that thing where you have to re-type the twisty distorted text – I usually get it wrong. This is the same idea, but it does the work behind the scenes with a alphanumeric hash so the user doesn’t have to piddle around with figuring out what the heck the letters are. Nobody wants to do that.

From Wikipedia on the subject: “Adding links that point to the spammer’s web site artificially increases the site’s search engine ranking.
