Delight

Paris was delightful. Everywhere you turned there was something so wonderful that it took your breath away. This feeling changes you from the inside out. It is as if your heart is singing. You can sense your mind growing as you walk down any street. I want to bring all this wonderfulness home with me and keep it forever. I want everything in my house to reflect life in such a joyous way. If you live in that kind of place, you will be a billion percent better in every way than if you did not. If my painting do that ever, then my life has been successful.

What is the big deal

What is the big deal about seeing another country? I have friends that have been nowhere and do not care to go because they are just fine where they are. To me that is like not reading because you can get along just fine with just talking. Travel is like reading with all your senses. Each time we learn more things we increase our capacity to learn more. Travel works on all possible levels of new learning. See Touch Smell Feel and Taste. All five senses triggers 5 times the impact on your brain. And most of all you can remember….and when You do that it changes you forever. Yes Travel is imperative. It is not just fun. It is not a diversion. It is food for your life no matter what you do for a living.

Ochre

The color of the stone that is all over France is Ochre, It is the warmest most wonderful color that permeates your life when you go there.It is the color I crave all the time. It is the diffused sun that is the light everybody talks about. That light combined with the stone color is too remarkable because of what it does to other colors. Red and blue become a new thing when you see them next to ochre. I painted all my walls in my house Ochre and it is the only color I can stand for more than a few months. It is the only constant color in my life. A vase of lavender next to an ochre wall is the most beautiful thing in the world. You can see the lavender , truly see it.

My favorite restaurant was all all all ochre. walls furniture everything was ochre. It was like going to heaven.

Afterglow

The best thing about any trip is not being there. It is thinking about it afterward. Then you are able to fully absorb what you saw and heard and tasted. France is now a part of my whole being and I will never be the same. This is also why all artists should travel. It enlarges you and the more you have the more you can hold for later.
The clothes they wear in france are unlike any other place. It seems that each person has developed a certain style. Even the guy in pajamas , walking around Paris did have a scarf on.
Now I look around me here and it is disappointing. The jeans uniform is getting old. I cannot remember seeing jeans in Paris.
Dresses on all the girls though or if they had pants on they had a lace top or something else of equal panache.
